Hey, Burton, diggin' your big good time. Don't you know Kansas and KC in particular are famous for bbq? So that is now one thing on your agenda for Kansas. I would also recommend the book Roadfood by Jane and Michael Stern for further culinary ideas. When you get to Arkansas, check out the B and B Bar-B-Que in Fayetteville. AND, if you are truly devoted to pilgrimmage, the Bon Ton Cafe in N'awlins awaits, and of course NO is a de rigeur detour for any food lover. KK
